Updated: Aug 26

This is a huge honour, but it also comes with significant costs. Travel expenses, accommodation, competition fees, and training preparations add up quickly, and we want to make sure Eddie has everything he needs to succeed on this global stage.

We are thrilled to share some incredible news from the Total Taekwondo community—our very own Eddie has been selected to represent Great Britain at the prestigious World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in Hong Kong! Competing in both the Under 14 Pair and Under 14 Team categories, Eddie's selection is a testament to his dedication, skill, and passion for the art of Taekwondo.

A Journey of Hard Work and Determination

Eddie’s journey to the World Championships has been nothing short of remarkable. His selection by the British Taekwondo GB Poomsae Performance Department is a significant milestone in his Taekwondo career. It reflects the countless hours of training, focus, and commitment that Eddie has invested, both here at Total Taekwondo and during his elite sessions at the GB Academy in Manchester.

Training at Total Taekwondo

At Total Taekwondo, we have had the pleasure of watching Eddie grow and develop as a martial artist. From the moment he first stepped onto the mat, it was clear that Eddie had a natural talent for Taekwondo. But talent alone is never enough—Eddie has worked tirelessly to hone his skills, showing an exceptional level of discipline and a willingness to push himself to new limits.

Our training programs at Total Taekwondo are designed to nurture young talent like Eddie, providing a supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and achieve their full potential. Eddie's progress is a perfect example of what can be accomplished with the right blend of talent, hard work, and guidance.

Elite Training at the GB Academy

In addition to his training at Total Taekwondo, Eddie has also been honing his skills at the GB Academy in Manchester, where he trains alongside some of the best Taekwondo athletes in the country. The Academy provides Eddie with access to top-level coaching, advanced training techniques, and the opportunity to train and compete with other elite athletes. This experience has been invaluable in preparing Eddie for the challenges of international competition.

Looking Ahead to the World Championships

As Eddie prepares to compete in Hong Kong, we at Total Taekwondo are immensely proud of all that he has achieved. The World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships are an incredibly prestigious event, bringing together the best athletes from around the globe to compete at the highest level. For Eddie, this is an opportunity to showcase his skills on the world stage, to represent his country, and to continue his journey toward becoming one of the top Taekwondo athletes in the world.

A Community Behind Him

Eddie’s journey to the World Championships is not just a personal achievement—it is a source of pride for our entire community. At Total Taekwondo, we believe in the power of community support, and we know that Eddie’s success is a reflection of the collective effort of everyone involved in his training—his coaches, his training partners, and his family.

As Eddie continues his preparation for the World Championships, we will be cheering him on every step of the way. We are confident that he will make us all proud and inspire the next generation of Taekwondo practitioners to follow in his footsteps.
