As 2025 approaches, we’re thrilled to announce an action-packed year full of competitions, gradings, and events for all our students. Here’s everything you need to know to get prepared and stay informed.

Note: Sport and Poomsae Taekwondo are available for Yellow Belts and above. These classes are designed for students aiming to compete and are highly intense.

Key Updates for 2025

1. Rebranding in Ormskirk: Our Ormskirk branch will now be known as Hwan Yeong (Korean for “Welcome”). This change will not affect training or grading structures.

2. Winter Uniform Guidelines:

   • Non-branded hoodies and jackets are allowed in classes.

   • Dobok pants and belts remain mandatory.

   • Base layers are optional but be mindful of overheating during warm-ups.

3. Dojang Etiquette: Updated etiquette policies will be enforced. Learn more here.

4. New Cotton T-Shirts: Affordable options are available. Shop here.

5. Dobok Suit Discounts: Prices reduced from £45 to £25. Order now.

6. Coaching Expansion: We’re looking for a new coach for Preston and developing junior coaches.

7. Syllabus Update: The Ninja and Taekwondo syllabus has been refreshed. Check it out here.

Black Belt Taekwondo Grading

Black Belt grading will take place in April and November. New criteria aim to add value to the black belt journey:

• Completion of a Corner Judging Course (dates TBD)

• First Aid Certification (dates TBD)

• 10 Hours of coaching assistance (ages 12+)

• Submission of a written statement
